The review of the development of the scientific journal - Zeszyty Łużyckie - over the years 1991 – 2011. The author distinguishes the three stages of the journal’s evolution: years 1991 – 1992 (popular scientific journal), years 1993 – 2003 (scientific journal “directed towards Sorbian Studies”) and years 2004 – 2010 (scientific Sorbian Studies journal). The description of subsequent stages in the history of Zeszyty Łużyckie encompasses, among others, types and character (scientific/ popularizing) of the articles, the scientific fields represented, the titles of certain volumes, the aims of the editorial team, the journal’s readership and its circulation.
